The workshop “Punching Shear Verification Using Nonlinear Analysis Methods According to SIA 269/2” was held at the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland (OST) in Rapperswil and organised by XDEEA Software & Consulting. Dr Safak Arslantürkoglu from LEO Consulting was invited as a speaker.
In his presentation, Dr Arslantürkoglu covered key aspects of the Critical Shear Crack Theory, different types of punching shear reinforcement, the treatment of punching shear in the SIA 262 standard, and illustrative examples from engineering practice. The workshop was aimed at professionals seeking a deeper understanding of the possibilities offered by nonlinear finite element methods.
