Safak Arslantürkoglu specialises in the analysis and assessment of existing structures. His areas of expertise include seismic safety, the structural safety of underground parking garages with a particular focus on punching shear, and durability-related challenges.
Nach einigen Jahren in der Ingenieurpraxis wandte er sich der Forschung zu und beschäftigte sich mit Methoden zur risikobasierten seismischen Beurteilung bestehender Tragwerke. Ende 2023 schloss er sein Doktorat mit dem Titel «Risk-Based Seismic Assessment of Existing Unreinforced Masonry Buildings in Switzerland» an der ETH Zürich ab.
In addition to his work at LEO Consulting, he is a lecturer at ETH Zurich, where he serves as lead lecturer and programme coordinator of the continuing education programme CAS ETH in Seismic Evaluation and Retrofitting (CAS ETH SER). He chairs the working group responsible for the Swiss National Annex to Eurocode 6 (EN 1996) (Parts 1-1, 1-2 and 2) and is a member of the SIA 266 standards committee.

Yunus Harmanci has extensive experience in the assessment and retrofitting of existing structures. His areas of expertise include punching shear and seismic safety, structural strengthening, as well as non-destructive testing and structural health monitoring.
Er promovierte 2018 an der ETH Zürich mit der Dissertation «Long-Term Resistance of Gradient Anchorage for Prestressed CFRP Strips in Structural Concrete Retrofitting» und war Mitglied der Arbeitsgruppe der neuen SIA 166 Norm «Klebebewehrungen». Seit seiner Promotion ist er in der Praxis tätig, wo er sich auf die Überprüfung bestehender Bauwerke und die Entwicklung von Verstärkungskonzepten konzentriert.
In addition to his work at LEO Consulting, he is a research scientist at Empa.
