Erdbeben sind komplexe Naturphänomene mit einem Potenzial für katastrophale Auswirkungen. Ein zentraler Aspekt in Bezug auf die Erdbebensicherheit von Tragwerken ist die Unterscheidung zwischen der Bemessung von Neubauten und der Überprüfung bestehender Gebäude, insbesondere im Hinblick auf die angewandten Berechnungsverfahren.
Bei der Bemessung neuer Tragwerke, die auf die erdbebensichere Planung und Auslegung abzielt, kommen in der Regel lineare Verfahren zum Einsatz. Diese basieren auf vereinfachten und meist konservativen Annahmen über das seismische Verhalten der Tragwerke und bieten einen effizienten und normgerechten Ansatz, um die Erdbebensicherheit bei Neubauten zu gewährleisten.
Im Gegensatz dazu sind für die Überprüfung bestehender Gebäude nichtlineare Verfahren unerlässlich, damit das seismische Verhalten realistischer ausgewertet werden kann. Solche genauere Untersuchungen sind von zentraler Bedeutung, da eine unnötig konservative Überprüfung zu übermässigen und kostenintensiven Ertüchtigungsmassnahmen führen kann, die möglicherweise nicht notwendig sind. Dabei erlauben die nichtlinearen Verfahren eine detailliertere und realistischere Untersuchung, um sowohl die Sicherheit als auch die Wirtschaftlichkeit der allfälligen Massnahmen zu gewährleisten.

- • Anwendung deterministischer und probabilistischer Verfahren zur Risikobewertung
- • Spezifische Untersuchung lokaler Mechanismen, insbesondere das Aus-der-Ebene-Verhalten bei Mauerwerkswänden
- • Beurteilung der Erdbebensicherheit mittels Erfüllungsfaktor nach SIA 269/8, um die Konformität mit den SIA Vorschriften auszudrücken
- • Bewertung der Verhältnismässigkeit der Massnahmen nach SIA 269/8
- • Im Bedarfsfall: Erarbeitung von Massnahmen nach SIA 269/8
