residential blocks within the Im Str\u00e4ler housing development in Zurich. The complex was built in the 1970s using the prefabricated G\u00f6hner construction system and comprises several hundred apartments.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ff2a0bd elementor-widget elementor-widget-naylatextwrapper\" data-id=\"ff2a0bd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"naylatextwrapper.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\n\n\n<div class=\"text-wrapper no-margin\">\n\n    <p class=\"has-anim-text wordsUp  text-p  false\" data-stagger=\"0.04\" data-duration=\"1.5\"data-delay=\"0\"data-scrub=\"false\" data-pin=\"false\"> One of the main challenges of the project was the absence of original construction drawings. To establish a reliable basis for the structural assessment, an extensive historical and technical investigation was carried out. As the load-bearing behaviour of prefabricated buildings depends strongly on the connections between walls and floors, particular attention was given to their detailed assessment. In many cases, only fragmented information is available, while the structural behaviour depends heavily on connection details.
